James was right in the middle of a very intense game of Solitaire which he was about to get out when an inter-office computerised message flicked up on his screen from Tiffani. James scowled. Although he was bored out of his brain, he was enjoying the between-cases lull. He almost erased the message before reading it, but did the right thing and opened it.

James sighed and exited out of Solitaire and leaned around the barrier of his cubicle and caught Iz's gaze. He stood up reluctantly and picked up the apple he'd been saving. No one ever really knew if meetings with Pierce would be two minutes or two days.
